Loved this book. It spoke directly to me. I havent taken notes or underlined lines in a book since college. But I want to open this book and read my favorite lines over and over again. I have a teacher friend going through a hard time with this pandemic teaching and being a mom all at the same time and I just ordered her this book.

I will forever be grateful for Instagram because it led me to Nakeia Homer. Just as one can expect from her Instagram feed, Nakeia’s book will make you feel seen and validated. Her words speak to your soul and remind you that you are not alone in experiencing emotions so fully. In fact, reading the various poems makes you understand that feeling is truly the pathway to healing. I am so happy that I have access to Nakeia’s wisdom year-round in the form of this book.
