No! I wasn’t raised in the church. It didn’t happen until my mother fell ill and God took her away from me for no reason at all. Cancer, they say. But I needed to hear it from God, so I began talking with him every day until my friends started calling me crazy. At that point, I started removing myself from the “IN” crowd and became a loner. I left Augusta, Georgia a little over a year after I graduated from high-school and took a Greyhound bus to Atlanta. From that point, I lived in a women’s shelter and joined a pretty decent church. Then, I found my position as the Sunday school teacher. I loved working with the youths. That was until I met a man. The man that my Pastor had warned me about. He knew him so well because they were brothers from the same womb. I should have turned away then. God was trying to tell me something. Instead, I fell into his powerful arms. Honestly, I didn’t see anything wrong with falling in love in church. Then, at the blink of an eye, I was standing in the courtroom, my eyes were filled with tears, and I was frightened. The jury had been deliberating for the last few hours, only to find me guilty on all counts. The judge wasn’t light on me either. He sentenced me to “Life” in a Georgia state women’s prison. And that’s when I stopped believing in God. Everyone has a testimony, but Annabelle Humphrey has a hope-filled and inspirational story about faith, love, friendship and redemption that will certainly grab you from the first page to the very last one.
Review
” Daisy Mae (God fearing lady/mother figure/nurturer) Annabelle (freshly relocated, homeless, teacher, daughter of God) James (pastor, brother) and Jamal (sponsor of church, brother of pastor, addicted to meds and women) are a uniquely woven unit.
Daisy Mae is having health issues but continues to serve the Lord (opening her home and heart to Annabelle).
Annabelle has a chance to teach about her passion (God) but stumbles on an enticing package (Jamal).
James (pastor) and Annabelle retrieves a van and a check for church at brother’s (Jamal) home.
Jamal faces his latest temptation delivered to his door step (Annabelle)
Annabelle decides to throw warnings to the wind and develop a relationship with Jamal. Jamal woos Annabelle and they have a misunderstanding of mutual desires. Annabelle always agreed with Jamal’s directive so he was introducing something he loved. Instead of speaking like adults, a terrible incident occurs and someone ……….
Every action has a reaction and sometimes mighty tests are placed in our path
If only I would have heeded my warnings/followed God’s path this could have been ………
But we all must remember that God allows us freedom to choose our path (right/wrong we are accountable)
This book is truly an eye opener to every person
Sometimes God’s Will and our will are not the same but understand that God’s Will will be done willingly/unwillingly
We all have to answer to the Father and God chastises all his children when warranted
But remember, “God will never leave you nor forsake you” Deuteronomy 31:6.” Amazon Reviewer

Speaking for self this book open my eyes to a lot of things I’m doing and not doing. For so many years now I’ve walk around with so much anger in my heart manily toward my family. Simply bc I had to be there for everybody raising Kids that weren’t mine have to do for my everybody but myself. Not thinking Falecia may God had to go threw and deal with these things for a reason. Their are many days I question God about me praying to him but yet not seeing anything.Instead of being patient and waiting on God. Things don’t always happen when we want them to happen. There are many signs that I seen only if I would have taken the to pay attention.. Reading this book really mad me step back and take a look at my own life. I can I’m ready for part 2 of this book.
