Transparent Moments: Book of Poems by Nicole M Gillespie

Description

I am Nicole Gillespie! A mother of three and a proud grandmother of three. Born and raised in Kansas City Missouri, although I am a true country girl at heart. I consider myself to be a nature freak with a love for writing. I’m excited to share my thoughts, while allowing the world to view the canvases illustrated from my poetic soul. My poetry is raw, yet it is a pure view into my heart. These poems have been written over a span of two decades. Dealing with brokenness, low self-esteem, rejections, empowerment, faith, and parenthood to womanhood. From the heart of a saved woman, these poems reflect the simple yet sometimes complexed, highs and lows of life. These mountains and valley experiences has helped me find balance. I found my voice through poetry and I’ve been writing ever since! Writing was truly the God given therapy that I needed. For this reason, I am excited to share my voice and heart to the world. The word of God says, we are set free through our testimony and I don’t mind testifying; especially if it will help someone else to be set free. Welcome to my Transparent Moments!

Poetry is a walk through the writer’s soul which requires the reader to connect, interpret, and decipher. I found this book to be an expression of uttermost transparency of spirit and beautifully written from the heart.

I was able to see myself in this poetry book and that’s when it became personal. Poetry itself isn’t always understood although this poetry is simplistic, yet holding depth at the same time.

We all go through trials and tribulations at some point. Whether self-inflicted or in innocence, you’ll see the way the author uses life experiences to creatively compose a true understanding in this piece of literary art.

Poetry is a deep part of me and this book is one I will hold as a keepsake. If you’re looking for a spiritual and meaningful collection of Poetry, testimony, and prose…Then this is definitely a book you should read.

I LOVED IT!!! 💗

This book of poems has opened up my eyes to realize maybe every woman goes through the same issues and keeps everything together because we are STRONG, but strength alone can’t make a woman. It’s okay to fail, doubt, and be confused.
